The course develops a number of skills that enable students to deepen their declarative and

procedural knowledge of issues in translation between English and Arabic. These skills include solving

problems of language transfer at the macro-textual (cohesion and coherence) level and tapping into

resources to overcome lexical and cultural challenges.
