MBA 104 MBA 104 - Quantitative Methods

This course introduces a structured approach to problem solving and the fundamental quantitative methods used to formulate and solve problems to support business decision making. Students will practice both analysis of complex situations and communication of results based on these decision models. Wherever possible, exposure to computer software will be made to facilitate the analyses.

MBA504 MBA504 Research Project

This course is a continuity of research methods course. During this course, students will be expected to conduct independent research through which they are expected to demonstrate a good command of research processes including identifying business problems, data collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation. Ideally, students will be encouraged to work together with local industries and government organizations to forge applied research projects so that local cases are developed for experience sharing.

MBA-503 Research Methods

This course is designed to assist students with mastering research skills as well as prepare students for writing their dissertation. It provides students with the knowledge and understanding of research design and practical application of relevant business research methods. This course will equip students with understanding the variety and ways of application of qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods in different research topics.

FM-301. Financial Management-301

This course focuses on the tools necessary for decision-making under uncertainty through the analysis of common business decisions and principles of finance. The subject combines basic business principles with techniques for managing investment, expenditures and acquisitions, and setting dividends, arranging finance, and making capital budgeting decisions.

The aim of this course is to deliver a clear understanding of successful acquisition and deployment strategies of capital resources in connection with the principles, concepts and techniques of financial management, financial markets and working capital management.

The course objectives are to:

1. Enable students to develop the skills and intellectual framework for addressing a variety of financial problems.

2. Illustrate financial management practices, techniques and strategies that are used in the financial management.

3. Gain knowledge on the types and characteristics of finance related problems and to increase students’ ability to handle those problems through reliable financial management methods.

4. Develop planning and monitoring skills in financial management functions effectively, so that students will be able to apply the appropriate management strategy to face the challenges in their organization

MBA-103-2019-20-S1 Human Resource Management

An overview of selected human resource activities/systems for the future of human resource professional will be studied. Emphasis will be placed on building skills in areas that will provide a foundation for future coursework in human resources management. Topics covered include planning and forecasting human resource needs, job analysis, design and evaluation of training systems, design of performance appraisal systems, and safety and health in the workplace

MBA 101 Managerial Economics MBA 101

This course will cover the tools and principles of managerial economics or the application of microeconomic principles to business decisions. Students successfully completing the course will have knowledge of applying economic concepts and thoughts in business situations.
