BUAC3304-2021S2 Corporate Accounting

The aim of this course is to develop an understanding of the advanced concepts and principles of corporate accounting as well as to teach the preparation of the financial statements under IFRS.

Course Objectives are to: 

  • 1.   introduce students to the advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to disclose financial information of formation and liquidation of the partnerships.
  • 2.   provide students with knowledge on accounting for the business combinations under International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS).
  • 3.   develop the students’ ability to analyze and disclose financial information for foreign currency transactions.
  • provide students with knowledge for developing sufficient skills on preparation of the consolidated financial statements under IFRS.
BUMG3108-2021S2 Business Statistics - II

Course Description: This course is a continuation of Business Statistics-I. It is designed to provide students with fundamental understanding of statistical models and their application in business, economic and managerial decision making. It also intends to expose students to the use of statistical computer software to familiarize them with the computational aspects of the models.

Course Aim: The course aims to provide students with an advanced knowledge of business statistics so as to enrich their understanding of the role of statistical tools and methods in a business setting. Emphasis is there on both computational and interpretational aspects.
